Privacy Policy

CrewBrew ("CrewBrew", "we", "us") is a contractor field-operations platform operated in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, company name, and password (passwords are managed by AWS Cognito and stored only in hashed form; we never see them).
- Operational data — projects, tasks, crew assignments, time logs, expenses, equipment logs, and approvals you enter.
- Jobsite content — photos and captions your crews upload as proof of work.
- Location data — when a worker clocks in or out, the app records GPS coordinates (only with the worker's device permission) to confirm work took place on the job site. Location is captured only at clock-in/out — never tracked continuously or in the background.
- Usage data — basic technical information (such as log and request data) used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the CrewBrew dashboard and worker app.
- To authenticate users and protect accounts.
- To confirm crews are on the job site when they clock in (location).
- To enforce plan limits, such as storage allocation.
- To support, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
How information is stored and protected
CrewBrew runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Canadian and U.S. regions. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and the database is isolated in a private network not reachable from the public internet. Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito. We apply least-privilege access controls to our systems.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure providers (such as AWS) that process it on our behalf to run the service, and where required by law.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, subject to legal retention obligations.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
